Awards and Honors Received by ILNA May 4, 1999 - U.S. Mint On May 4, the ILNA web site was selected as the site of the official unveiling of the new dollar coin live via the World Wide Web. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton accompanied by dignitaries and members of the Native American, numismatic and women's communities at the White House to officially announce the winning coin design. Over 1,000 visitors viewed this announcement from our web site. ILNA "Coin Digest" Wins National Award The ILNA "Coin Digest" was intered into National competition for numismatic publications. The State publication was competing with all other state and regional numismatic publications for the American Numismatic Association's award. Our 1998 digests were intered into the competition for the first time. In was announced on April 14, 1999 that ILNA place 2nd in the national competition. Top of Page
